GLP Shines Bright at PL+S
GLP reported another excellent Prolight + Sound show in Frankfurt, showcasing a number of innovative new products to both domestic LDs and an international trade audience that spanned all five continents. Altogether, over 1,000 fixtures were featured in Frankfurt, both on the company stand and in the Festhalle.
Sunrise Theatre Updates with Chauvet Professional
The Sunrise Civic Center Theatre is located only three miles away from the BB&T Center, the largest arena in the Sunshine State. Although the small local theatre doesn’t get the national acts that perform at its larger neighbor, it does offer people in its community a big time entertainment experience with skillfully produced and smoothly performed plays, musicals and comedy acts at its 300-seat indoor theatre and concerts at its adjacent amphitheater.
Contributing to the audience experience at both the indoor and outdoor facilities is a new lighting system made up of over 125 CHAUVET Professional fixtures. The new system was installed in June 2017, after an extensive 18-month process.
Meyer Sound Training Sessions Lay Groundwork for Unprecedented Roskilde Festival Partnership
Meyer Sound recently concluded a special two-day training session for technical crew members who this year will be working directly for the Roskilde Festival, northern Europe’s largest continuing musical and cultural summer event. For the first time in 2018, all festival stages will be equipped with Meyer Sound systems and, as part of an unprecedented partnership, Meyer Sound is fully engaged in training the festival’s own technical crew to assist in system deployment, operations and monitoring.
The sessions were held at Copenhagen’s Rhythmic Music Conservatory (RMC) under the auspices of Roskilde Festival Technical Training, a continuing initiative that provides high-level technical education in conjunction with the festival and throughout the year.
