USITT 2017 is offering Light Lab, an immersive stage lighting opportunity allowing participants to work with the best equipment available. All levels of expertise are welcome. Get your hands dirty and learn in great detail techniques and product applications to best create your lighting solutions.
[spacer height=”20px”]The Lab is an opportunity to set up a theatre-style space and use equipment provided by vendors to create a learning environment away from the show floor.
The emphasis is on training students and other lighting professionals. Headed by the Lighting Commission, the goal is to create a space free from the pressures of the expo floor where lighting professionals and students can learn about current state of the art lighting equipment in an as close to “real world” situation as possible. The lab is set up, struck, and operated by student volunteers.
