League of Historic American Theatre
The League of Historic American Theatre is now accepting proposals for 2017 Los Angeles National Conference education sessions. The new deadline to submit is Jan. 30, 2017. Sessions can be in the form of panel discussions, hands-on workshops, case study presentations, research presentations, or facilitated training sessions. Applications are reviewed by the League’s Membership Committee. Presenters will be notified in early March. LHAT is looking for experts in fundraising, marketing, and operations for historic theatres, as well as studies around successful theatre preservation, restorations and/or rehabilitation projects.
ETC now has a new way to connect with end users and lighting and rigging professionals around the globe, thanks to the introduction of the company’s new blog, called et cetera…ETC’s blog will be a mix of posts written internally by ETC employees and externally by guest bloggers from inside and outside the industry. Recurring features on ETC’s blog will include stories about former ETC students and interns, programming tips and tricks, interviews with designers and programmers during tech, profiles on certified ETC product trainers, and projects done by students using ETCnomad® systems.
Point Source Audio Makes a Move
Point Source Audio® (PSA), an audio equipment manufacturer specializing in the development of miniature microphones and headsets announced that it has completed its move into a new corporate headquarters in Petaluma, California. The new office will be just a mile away from the previous location, but is 50 percent larger and offers a more efficient layout to support the company’s administrative and operational functions as well as product development, sales and marketing, and assembly staff.
