Familiarize yourself with the inner workings of the Institute by applying to the Board Mentorship Program. This opportunity is available to students and early career professionals. Applications are being accepted for a limited time only.
Be privy to USITT’s structure, functionality, and the responsibilities that come with being a board member.
Once a mentee is selected in November, their inaugural event will be at USITT2020 in Houston, where they will begin orientation to get a feel for the future. Official non-voting board appointment will begin July 1, 2020. The chosen board mentee will be matched with an active board member acting as a go-to throughout their term.
The mentee will have the same expectations as other board members in terms of service. They will sit on a least one committee and attend all functions the board is expected to attend.
“USITT is made up of incredible people across the Institute and they’ve chosen this group of people to represent them on the board,” said former board mentee Jess Bergson. “As a mentee, I got to sit in that room with the Institute’s top representatives and I think that is the most valuable part of the program. At the end of the day, I’m able to say I sat on a board.”
