USITT will be holding precautionary hearing screenings Thursday and Friday, March 15-16, at USITT 2018 in Fort Lauderdale. These screenings will be conducted by the Audiology department of NOVA Southeastern and sponsored by H&H Specialties.
The screenings are part of the focus on hearing safety both personally and in the workplace. Professionals will be administering the screenings, which will be able to tell you if you need further hearing assistance and if scheduling further appointments with a hearing professional is necessary.
No matter the results of your screening, hearing health and safety are important. Attend the “How loud is too loud … WHAT Really Matters?” session to distinguish what will damage your hearing and what is a safe volume in theatre.
