Join renowned and internationally recognized trainers Aug. 20-21, in Seattle for both entry and advanced level classes presented through Jay O. Glerum Rigging Masterclasses.
The entry track is geared toward students and educators and includes both counterweight and automated rigging safety and operations. Certificates will be issued in partnership with Educational Theatre Association so that you may apply for recognition of continuing education credit.
The advanced track will cover the history and evolution of truss in the entertainment industry, teach the fundamentals of aluminum truss and tower design and use, and explain how to use manufacturer-supplied load tables correctly. The advanced class qualifies for ETCP renewal credits based on instruction hours.
All classes will take place in the Cornish Playhouse — just minutes from the Space Needle, Seattle Shakespeare Company, and Seattle Repertory Theatre. Gain new skills during the day and explore your surroundings at night with this multifaceted opportunity.
