Our feet are our greatest form of transportation, but four full days of walking the Expo floor, exploring the city of Fort Lauderdale, and navigating the convention center can take its toll. This year, we are bringing you multiple, and novel, ways to travel from your hotel, to the convention center, and everywhere in-between.
Can you say Water Taxi? The Fort Lauderdale Water Taxi will take you to some of the best spots around for great food and drink. Its frequent stops at multiple locations make it convenient, allowing you to get off and back on all day at any stop for one flat rate.
Uber and Lyft can make ride sharing simple. Download the respective apps on your iPhone or Android, and with a few swipes and clicks, you’ll be on your way.
Broward BCycle—for the adventurer in you. Try one of Fort Lauderdale’s public bicycles to get your blood pumping on your way to the convention center, to sessions, or to dinner after a fun day of strolling the Expo floor.
The Sun Trolley can’t be missed with its bright red and yellow exterior. Hitching a ride is simple—just wave and they’ll pick you up. From Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport to the Town of Lauderdale-By-The-Sea, the Sun Trolley operates seven routes. All routes are free except for the Beach and Las Olas Link – $1 per ride or $3 for an all-day pass. The trolley is cash only.
Of course, walking is always an option, and a healthy one! Beautiful scenery and palm trees line the streets and coast while many dining and entertainment options are walking distance from hotels and the convention center.
