Two new USITT Fellows were inducted into the Institute at USITT 2017 in St. Louis.
Costume designer Judy Adamson, introduced by Bobbi Owen, and scenic and lighting designer Rich Dunham, introduced by Sylvia Hillyard Pannell, received their plaques during a recognition ceremony on the opening day of the Annual Conference & Stage Expo.
Judy and Rich mark the 124th and 125th USITT members to become Fellows of the Institute. Their commitment to their work and the Institute has not gone unnoticed.
“Judy Adamson is a tremendous asset to USITT, from the sessions she presents, to her costume project work, to her creation of the Barbara Matera Award for Costume Making. The visibility of costume technicians and their importance in the performing arts industry has been raised over the last 15-20 years due in large part due to this brilliant three-dimensional artist.”
“Rich Dunham is the epitome of the USITT member who deserves recognition for professional accomplishments and active, ongoing contributions to the work of the Institute. His leadership of the Grants & Fellowships Committee has resulted in expansion of opportunities to serve our members.”
