As the USITT Annual Conference & Stage Expo quickly approaches, there’s lots to do, plan, and get excited for!
Although the Conference is central to the festivities, it’s a good opportunity to feed your wanderlust and explore a new city. This year, St. Louis has much to offer inside the convention center as well as its surrounding area.
Breweries, restaurants, theatres, museums, night life, parks: you name it and St. Louis can deliver it all under the Arch. All of these destinations and activities are easy to get to by metro, bus, or your own two feet.
After fueling your mind with creative juices and technical tricks, make sure to fill up your stomach at one of St. Louis’ breweries such as Schlafly Bottleworks. If you’re more interested in the production of beer rather than the consumption, you may want to stop by Anheuser-Busch for a tour, and maybe get a glimpse of the famous Clydesdales.
The Fox Theatre, aka The Fabulous Fox is a former movie palace turned performing arts center. Head to The Fox to marvel at its gorgeous architecture and take in a piece of its almost 50 year history.
If design is more your scene, check out Laumeier Sculpture Park.
There is so much to do and see in St. Louis, so don’t miss out on all the city has to offer!
