The Young Designers, Managers, & Technicians (YDMT) Awards bring recognition and support to young designers and technicians at the beginning of their careers. They are made possible by generous gifts to USITT from their sponsors.
“I was so excited when I won,” said 2017 YDMT Award winner Maranda DeBusk. “It’s such an honor to have been selected. There are so many talented young lighting designers in the country, and to know that there was something about my work that stood out to the selection committee and the Institute is a major confidence boost.”
Students can be nominated by a faculty member or can self-nominate.
