Perfect for those with a love for design and architecture.
The Big Four Bridge
Speaking of architecture, why not take a jaunt across the Big Four Bridge? But beware — if you make it all the way across, you’ll be in Indiana! That’s right, this giant structure connects the two states over the Ohio River. The bridge has an LED lighting system that wraps areas of the bridge in vibrant colors that can be programmed into a rainbow of effects, highlighting the bridge’s structure, which dates back to its days as an active urban railroad bridge.
The Louisville ramp is approximately 1/4 mile (1,181 ft.), the bridge itself is approximately 1/2 mile (2,562), and the Jeffersonville ramp is approximately 1/4 mile, for a total round trip of 2 miles. A perfect after-dinner activity to walk off your meal.
