On Oct. 26, we at USITT had our inaugural Giving Day as part of our Setting the Next Stage campaign; a yearlong effort to raise needed funds to support and stabilize USITT’s funding.  These funds will support important programs like the Rigging Safety Initiative, the Gateway Program, International Activities, and the USITT Fund.

I am pleased to report that 118 individual donors pledged a combined total of more than $55,000 bringing us to 88 percent of the $600,000 campaign goal. Sixty-one of these individuals were new donors to the Institute. The Giving Day donations ranged from $5 to $1,000, with the typical amounts ranging from $25 to $50.

The Setting the Next Stage campaign concludes at the Keynote Address in Houston, but to achieve our $600,000 goal we need the support of all of our members. I would like to thank those who have already donated and encourage those that have not done so yet to join me in keeping USITT a destination for everyone in the theatre technology sector.

Please consider making a one-time donation or a multi-year gift by clicking here. Your gift will ensure that USITT continues to provide quality programming and support to our members as well as to the next generation of theatre students and professionals.

Thank you!
