The latest installment of the Jay O. Glerum Rigging Masterclasses is heading west to San Diego.

Both entry and intermediate level tracks will be offered. The entry level track taking place March 30-31 will be held at San Diego State University in the Don Powell Theatre, while the intermediate level track takes place in the same location April 1-2.

The entry track is geared toward those needing to reaffirm their knowledge of or build upon their understanding of the basics of rigging and includes both counterweight and automated rigging safety and operations. The two-day curriculum covers rigging basics, terminology, hardware, systems, tools, and safe practices. Attendees will be issued the Jay O. Glerum Stage Rigging Handbook and use this text as a reference.

The intermediate level track is for those familiar with rigging basics and the safe operation of a counterweight system or those who have taken the entry level course and seek to advance their skills. Attendees will be issued a handbook guided by the PowerPoint presentation. This class qualifies for 14 ETCP renewal credits.
