Lighting Takes the Stage at USITT 2017!
Advanced, intermediate, and entry level lighting sessions and a projection mapping tour of St. Louis are on the slate of offerings at USITT 2017. Here is just a sampling of what you can expect:
Advanced: Musion Eyeliner: Holographic Projection on Stage
Enter into the new realm of holographic realism on stage. Musion Eyeliner hologram technology pushes the boundary of the modern day theatre and presentation experience. Learn how to pump up the creativity of your next production with illusions that provide that extra wow to captivate, entice, and engage your audience, leaving a truly lasting impression.

Professional Development Workshop: Projection Mapping Around St. Louis
A unique opportunity to talk with and learn from St. Louis-based immersive video projection artist, Raven Fox (Radiant Studio Works). Learn the process of working with a client, figuring out equipment needs and layout, image development, and how Raven uses various software and hardware for show development and production. The journey will include a trip to Union Station to take a behind the scenes look view at The Grand Hall Experience, the largest indoor projection mapping installation in North America.

Beginner: Event Lighting Vs. Theatre Lighting
This session will introduce design concepts and, more importantly, technical methods used in live events produced at convention centers, hotel ballrooms, etc. Panelists will discuss differences between theater and corporate event design, including specifying equipment needed for a “bare walls” hotel or convention center rental space.

Intermediate: Focus Charts Demystified (Light Lab)
What exactly are focus charts? Why are they useful? How do you create them? Explore in real-time how (and why) focus charts are created with a practical demonstration. The session will also explore moving light tracker.
