The New World Rigging Symposium is back for its third year and brings 10 ETCP education renewal credits for re-certification with it.

The symposium, presented by USITT and ESTA, is building upon its past successes and planning for its best year yet in 2020. The event brings together professional riggers, engineers, health and safety professionals, venue managers, educators, and manufacturers for a two-day in conjunction with USITT 2020. Spirited conversations are had while sessions, panels, and networking provide an opportunity for riggers and those interested in the live entertainment rigging industry to discuss current issues, new technologies, and help shape the future of the industry.

In multiple sessions over two days, participants will be given a range of opportunities to further their technical knowledge, keep up to date with codes and standards, increase their understanding of structural issues, and learn about the challenges of working as a rigger in other segments of the entertainment industry.

Sessions for 2020 include “Video Wall Rigging: What you Need to Know,” “Cinema Rigging: How Did they Get a Camera THERE?,” “Automation vs Motorization: Do you Know the Difference?,” and more! View the full schedule here.

Symposium attendees will receive complimentary admission to Stage Expo, opening April 2, and are eligible for a deep discount on registration to the full 60th Annual Conference & Stage Expo.

Registration for the two-day Symposium, including lunches, reception and complimentary admission to Stage Expo, is $375. Register for both the Symposium and the full Conference for only $675.
