Put your audio chops to the test and see how creative you can be in solving a range of sound-specific design problems at the USITT19 Sound Studio.
This hands-on space allows Conference attendees to experience different methods of sound editing, creation, and playback. With different tasks as guidelines, you will be able to edit or create audio to solve specific design challenges and then move to a station to simulate playing that audio back in a stereo or surround soundscape.
Take advantage of this unique opportunity to experience different editing software and sound creation software. Once you get a feel for the programs, industry experts will ask you to complete your designs by playing them back on one of the two systems designed for each purpose. One is a stereo system and the other allowing for surround playback.
The Sound Studio will be open on Wednesday, March 20, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Thursday, March 21, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.; and Friday, March 22, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
To be a participant in the Sound Studio, you must sign up in advance as to not have an overflow of attendees on site. We encourage you to sign up today as spots have a history of filling quickly. With more than 20 sign up times, there’s plenty of flexibility to add this experience to your already customizable Conference schedule.
