The USITT Stage Management Mentor Project offers students and young professionals interested in stage management the opportunity to participate in a practical training experience.

With the support of professional stage managers, selected participants will coordinate and manage the major events of the Annual Conference & Stage Expo. Students and mentors work together to prepare and realize the various events.

“The Stage Management Mentor Project provided me the stepping stones into a completely new entertainment industry seven years ago, which since then has now turned into a lifelong career,” said Lead of Artistic & Technical Entertainment of Royal Caribbean International, Cody Hann.

Those chosen will be assigned the role of stage manager or assistant stage manager for up to three events at the Conference. In addition, all members of the project will participate in roundtable discussions about stage management and related areas and skills.
