As USITT 2017 has come and gone, we now project our excitement on to Fort Lauderdale 2018! Looking back on the time spent in St. Louis allows for memories, exciting new opportunities, and a chance to reflect on how USITT made an impact on its host city.

USITT 2017 brought in 5,500 attendees, 307 exhibitors, and overĀ $5.88 million in economic impact to St. Louis – our biggest year yet! With a closing night party planned for 1,100 attendees at City Museum, the walls were pushed to their limits when a record 1,500 came to celebrate and partake in the whimsical world of caves, 10-story slides, and even a fully functioning human hampster wheel.

Charity played a substantial role in this year’s Conference as well. A costume studio supported by Baby Lock and Bernina at Stage Expo allowed attendees to make items for local causes in the St. Louis area.

The generosity didn’t stop there…

The Long Reach Long Riders (LRLR) celebrated their upcoming ride through the Desert Southwest with a raffle and live auction to benefit Behind the Scenes during the USITT 2017 Conference & Stage Expo. Sales of raffle tickets, some key donations, and sales of BTS and LRLR-branded swag raised over $15,000 for the charity.

From projection walls, new technology, informative sessions, and awards given to some of the best of the industry, USITT 2017 in St. Louis has been our biggest and best yet.
