Wondering how to make a payment? Interested in our email marketing? Look no further than Accounting Assistant, Tyler Lavonas, and Digital Marketing Specialist, Zach Shaw. Both joined the National Office in late September and are settling in nicely. Please help us in giving them a warm Institute-wide welcome.
Tyler Lavonas will be helping with all daily and monthly accounting tasks and reports. His duties include managing cash receipts, bank reconciliations, accounts payable, and general ledger reconciliation. Tyler comes to USITT from D4, an E-Discovery company where he was a billing specialist and received a quarterly award for going above and beyond. A Rochester, NY, native, he graduated from Monroe Community College in May 2014 with an Associates in Business Administration, and went on to SUNY Brockport and graduated in December 2016 with a Bachelor’s in Accounting.
When Tyler’s not crunching numbers, he spends his time watching movies, television shows, YouTube videos, and playing video games. He also enjoys driving around with his girlfriend, visiting and exploring new places.
“One feels the excitement of hearing an untold story” is a quote by John Hope Franklin. “I think this applies here,” Tyler said. ” I’m just starting my story at USITT and it’s exciting to live it and see it progress.”
Zach Shaw will be overseeing and implementing USITT’s digital marketing and web engagement campaigns. Zach comes to USITT from Research & Marketing Strategies Inc., where he was a Research and Panel Associate. Growing up in Dewitt, NY, he stayed local and attended LeMoyne College where he graduated in 2016. Zach also received the Red Cross Real Hero’s award for his heroic work as a lifeguard on Jamesville Beach in 2015.
When he’s not creating email campaigns and finding new ways to engage membership, Zach loves to stay active through hiking, playing in sporting leagues, working out, and skiing in the winter. He also enjoys spending time with friends, rooting for SU sports, and binging Netflix shows.
“I can’t wait to work with such a collaborative and enthusiastic group of people,” Zach said.
